The Department of Epidemiology and Cancer Control was established in October 2005. At that time, the institution made a significant commitment of faculty positions, support staff, space, equipment, developmental funds, plus establishment of the St. Jude Lifetime (SJLIFE) cohort and the St. Jude Consortium for Pediatric Intervention Research (CPIR), to complement the research resource of the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study (CCSS).
