MedTech Composites medtech composites is a medical and hospital equipment company located in Aristau, Switzerland. MedTech Composites GmbH is a spin-off of ETH and was founded in 2000 from a dissertation on " structure-biocompatible hip prostheses from carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK ". She focused on the development and production of CF / PEEK implants and instruments. The services were extended by structural analysis using the finite element method. During its full-time involvement with the company Plusendoprothetik (now Smith & Nephew Orthopedics) by the company founder, the MedTech Composites was operated as a secondary occupation on the back burner. However, in October 2008, the time was ripe to put all the experience gained over seven years in the field of orthopedics and traumatology into complete self-employment. From the development department of Smith & Nephew Orthopedics AG, three more experienced employees could be won.
