The primary focus of the Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU) is research into conditions associated with ageing. Their aim is to facilitate the development of early assessment and intervention strategies targeted at age-associated degenerative conditions.The earliest studies taking place in CARU have a strong emphasis on neurodegenerative disease.
